Who & Why?

Adam Hart-Davis does for adults what Johnny Ball did for children. Presenting tv shows that are designed to make the audience learn about the subject matter in his enthusiatic manner makes a wonderful change to watching a facts and figures lecturing show. It is obvious to anyone that Adam Hart-Davis loves science and history and his love of the subject matter certainly assists the viewer in wanting to know more about it too.

In one show 'Local Heros' he travels around England to towns and rides his now famous pink and yellow bicycle around (wearing a colour coordinated shirt and cycle helmet) explaining why the town is famous from a scientific point of view.

He's not one to shy away from dressing up in costume or getting his hands dirty to help explain how something works. Some say eccentric others say pure genius, whichever you decide I think you'll agree he's entertaining!
