Who & Why?

Telly Savalas, If taken on the merits of his success in the now Cult 70's cop show "Kojak" Telly would not have been considered as a potential member of the hall of fame here.
Despite what now is considered now as his ultimately cheesy "love God" persona, which back in the 70's would have been considered very hip and "street" for the time, his admitance here is soley due to one singular event, his total belief in the pop career he sought to foster on the back of the "Kojak" series.

His one hit wonder "If", the 3 minute script read monologue cover of the Bread song, is a regular item on the many, Most Awful and One Hit Wonder, countdown chart programes that prolifferate TV these days.
