Who & Why?

Although much loved and accredited for bringing 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' to the masses in the 70s, Richard O'Brien is entered in to CultIdols.com for his TV Presenting on the Channel 4 show Crystal Maze. A show in which a bunch of prissy, 'I think I'm great' yuppies (this was in the 80's) donned jump suits to run around a specially built set and solve puzzles in order to earn crystals which represented time in the Crystal Dome.

Whilst television executives might imagine that the nation tuned in to watch the competition, the reality is that they tuned in to see Richard O'Brien lead the team around the set referring to 'Mumsy' and playing his harmonica whenever the entertainment was lacking, and that is without the witty snipes he would often make to the contestants themselves.
