I'm afraid that believing that US government (or any government) does no wrong is so naive to say the least. This, this belief, seems to be one of biggest problems today. Another thing I notice is that many people assume that US government will correct its problems at some point; justice will be done and civil rights will be restored. I'm afraid that this is also a kind of naive assumption. I'm not suggesting that we live in despair; I do think that we need to have faith in humanity. I also think that that we need to be rather optimistic. But there is a huge difference between being optimistic and blindly assuming that all problems will be correctly eventually ... Also the difference between being optimistic about our future and blindly assuming that all problems will be correctly eventually by the government is ... astronomical ...

Hey CB,

You've not sited where you get your own assumption... e.g. that people think the US gov. does no wrong... that people assume the US gov. will correct its problem.

I think optimisim in itself is a dangerous assumption. I think faith in humanity if also a dangerous assumtion.
